Terms of Service

Last updated: 9 October 2026. These terms are between you and Keneuoe Seoela t/a zaSign ("zaSign", "we", "us").

By creating an account or using zaSign at zasign.co.za, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

zaSign lets you upload PDF documents, place signature fields, send them to signers by email, and collect electronic signatures. We may improve, change or remove features over time.

2. Your account

• You must give accurate details and keep your login secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract.
• Tell us promptly at support@zasign.co.za if you think your account has been misused.

3. Plans and allowances

• Free plan: R0, no card required, up to 3 documents a month.
• Paid plans: the current plans, prices (in South African rand) and monthly allowances are shown on our pricing page. Paid plans may be "opening soon" and not yet available.
• A document counts toward your allowance when the first signer completes it. On the Free plan, documents you have sent that are still awaiting a signature also reserve a place in your 3-document limit until they are signed or expire.
• If you reach your allowance, we may stop new sends until the next month or until you move to a plan or pack that covers more documents.
• We may change prices or allowances. We will give at least 30 days' notice of a price increase to paid customers, and it will not apply to a period you have already paid for.

4. Your documents and your responsibility

• You own your documents. You give us permission to store, process and send them only as needed to run the service for you.
• You are responsible for deciding whether a document can be validly signed electronically, and for having the right to send it. Some kinds of document must follow other formalities under South African law. zaSign is a tool, not legal advice, and we do not guarantee that any particular document will be legally enforceable.
• You are responsible for entering the right signer names and email addresses.
• You must have lawful grounds, including any consent needed, to share your signers' personal information with us.

5. Acceptable use

You may not use zaSign to:

• send unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or misleading documents, or documents you have no right to send;
• impersonate anyone or collect signatures by deception;
• send spam, or send to people who have not agreed to receive the document;
• attack, overload, probe or bypass the limits of the service, or resell it without our written permission;
• upload malware.

We may suspend or remove content or accounts that break these rules.

6. Payments

• Payments are processed by our payment provider, which may act as the seller of record. Its terms apply to the payment itself.
• Prices are in South African rand. Tax is added or included as shown at checkout.
• Plans are paid in advance for the period you choose (for example one month or twelve months). Top-up packs add documents to your allowance as described when you buy them.
• Refunds and cancellation are covered in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

7. Availability and support

We work to keep zaSign available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may do maintenance. Support is by email at support@zasign.co.za or through our contact form.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. It forms part of these terms.

9. Our rights

zaSign, its software, design and branding belong to us or our licensors. These terms do not give you any ownership of them. You may not copy or reverse engineer the service except as the law allows.

10. Liability

• zaSign is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, or loss caused by documents you chose to send or signers you chose to invite.
• Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
• Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including your rights under the Consumer Protection Act where it applies.

11. Ending the agreement

• You may stop using zaSign and close your account at any time.
• We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we must by law, or if we stop offering the service. If we end a paid plan without your fault, we will refund the unused part of what you paid.
• After closing, you can ask us to delete your data as set out in the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and, for material changes, email you. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the update.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, and the South African courts have jurisdiction, without limiting any rights you have under mandatory consumer law.
